1. Are there any precautionary measures I have to take before reporting for my job?

All Caregivers are required to have their temperature taken before they report to their respective jobs. Anyone who has a fever and/or exhibits signs of respiratory illness like coughing or shortness of breath should be sent home or to seek medical assistance. If Caregivers or their family members have travelled abroad in the past 14 days, they required to undergo 14-day mandatory quarantine at dedicated quarantine centres by the Ministry of Health. Please notify our Customer Care if you are undergoing a 14-day mandatory quarantine, and refrain from reporting to work.

2. What do I have to take note of during the service?

Caregivers are to take note of the number of people in the household so that Caregiver Malaysia can easily keep track in the event of contact tracing. Caregivers should put on surgical masks throughout their course of duty and sanitize their hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after the service. Caregivers are to look out for symptoms such as cough, fever and sneezing among the client's family, as well as indication of a travel history within the past 14 days. 3. What do I have to take note of after the service?

If Caregivers fall sick and show signs of infection in the next 14 days after the service, they should contact Caregiver Malaysia's Customer Care and seek medical assistance immediately.

For Customers (Careseekers)

1. What should I consider before engaging a service with Caregiver Malaysia?

Before Caregiver Malaysia arranges for a Caregiver to provide service at the Careseeker's residence, our Customer Care will contact the Careseeker to enquire if they have a travel history and/or the presence of symptoms such as cough, fever and shortness of breath among family members in the past 14 days. Caregiver Malaysia has taken steps to ensure the safety and health of our community. Should the Careseekers have a travel history and/or family members with signs and symptoms of infection, Caregiver Malaysia will refer Careseekers to our telehealth partners to provide timely medical consultation and escalation.

2. What should I do if I encounter a Caregiver with a travel history to China and/or signs of infection during the service?

Should Careseekers notice that the Caregiver displays symptoms like cough, fever, shortness of breath and/or has a travel history within the past 14 days of service, please contact Caregiver Malaysia's Customer Care at +603-2856 2273. If the Caregiver is found to meet any of the aforementioned suspect case criteria, Caregiver Malaysia will terminate the service of the Caregiver and refer them to our telehealth partners to provide timely medical consultation and escalation.

3. What do I have to take note of after the service?

If Careseekers suspect the Caregiver to meet the case criteria as in point 2, they are advised to monitor for the emergence of symptoms like cough, fever and shortness of breath in the next 14 days after the service. Should they show signs of infection, they should contact Caregiver Malaysia's Customer Care and seek medical assistance immediately.

4. What is the COVID-19 Prevention Campaign about?

(a) Careseekers that book our caregiving services are entitled for the following:

(i) Careseekers that book our Caregivers with a minimum of RM500 gets a complimentary Premium COVID-19 Prevention Kit. The Premium COVID-19 Prevention Kit consists of 1 box of face mask, 2 x face mask holder, 2 x Caregiver Malaysia merchandise, 2 x hand sanitizer and 4 x alcohol sanitizing wipes.

(ii) Careseekers that book our Caregivers with a minimum of RM1,000 gets a complimentary COVID-19 Rapid Test (RTK-Ag), to be tested on the appointed Caregiver after confirmation and payment of service.

(iii) Careseekers that book our Caregivers with a minimum of RM3,000 gets a complimentary Insurance Coverage for the confirmed booking.

(B) Customers that book our rt-PCR Screening Test (Price: RM250/pax) are entitle for a Standard COVID-19 Prevention Kit. The Standard COVID-19 Prevention Kit consists of 1 box of face mask, a face mask holder, a Caregiver Malaysia merchandise, a hand sanitizer and an alcohol sanitizing wipe.

(C) Customers that book our RTK-Ag Screening Test (Price: RM150/pax) are entitle for a Basic COVID-19 Prevention Kit. The Basic COVID-19 Prevention Kit consists of 10 piece face mask, a face mask holder, a Caregiver Malaysia merchandise, a hand sanitizer and an alcohol sanitizing wipe.

5. When does the COVID-19 Prevention Campaign start or end?

COVID-19 Prevention Campaign promotional period is 10th of January 2021 – 30th June 2021.

6. Can I book in advance for a caregiving service during the promotion period?

Yes, you can take advantage of the COVID-19 Prevention Campaign to make advance booking of our services – but the service period must be completed before within 3 months after confirmation has been made.

7. Can I combine this promotion with other ongoing promotions?

No, you can only choose only one promotion to be used per booking.

8. Is the promotion applicable for Non-Malaysian Careseekers?

Yes, this promotion is open to all residing in Malaysia who is looking for caregiving services from Caregiver Malaysia.

9. How do I place a booking for the Caregiver during this campaign?

You may book the Caregiver through our website or contact our Customer Care Centre at +603-2856 2273.

10. Can I book caregiving services through this campaign before choosing the Caregiver?

Yes, after you have made a prior booking, our Customer Care Centre will contact you. But if you require a Caregiver urgently, your booking based on the COVID-19 Prevention Campaign will depend on the Caregivers’ availability.

11. Can I choose another Caregiver after a successful booking?

We do not encourage you to reselect your Caregiver as you have already made a booking with them. If there is any issue arises, our Customer Care Centre will get in touch with you.

General Precautions

Caregiver Malaysia encourages our Caregivers and Careseekers to continue adhering the 3Cs and 3Ws as advised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia: -

Avoid the 3C’s:

Avoid Crowded places; Confined spaces; Close conversations

Practice the 3W’s:

Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wear facemasks in public areas or if symptomatic; Warn self and others of the following:

  • Avoid shaking hands or touching others.
  • Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette.
  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  • Stay at home.
  • Seek treatment if symptomatic.

Precautionary Measures in Caregiver Malaysia's Office

As Caregiver Malaysia understands the safety and health of our community is of utmost priority, we have taken the following precautionary measures.

  1. To facilitate COVID-19 contact-tracing, the MySejahtera app is made compulsory to register when you enter our office.

  2. Our Customer Care Centre remains in operation, and you can reach us at +603-2856 2273. You can also reach out to us via our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Should there be any changes to our operations, we will keep you informed via email, social media as well as our website.

  3. Staff members who have travelled abroad within the past 14 days and developed symptoms will be referred to Caregiver Malaysia’s telehealth partners to provide timely medical consultation and escalation.

  4. If any staff member returns to office for essential work and develops symptoms of respiratory infection or other contagious infection, all staff members who were in contact with the affected staff member will be instructed to be quarantined at home for the next 14 days. However, Caregivers and Careseekers can still reach us at our hotline.
